très bien placé sur les ramblas. Acceuil sympa. Mais attention pour ceux qui cherchent du calme et de la tranquilité à éviter car la clientèle est très jeune, cherche à faire la fête, ajouter à cela la très mauvaise insonorisation. Sinon idéal pour des jeunes souhaitant faire la fiesta dans Barcelona.

Sehr zentrale Lage, nur geeignet zum Uebernachten wenn die Leute beim Schlafen Ohrstoepsel tragen. Der Reial Plaza wirkt wie ein Verstaerker der Geraeusche und auf ihm ist eben Leben bis in die Morgenstunden. Fruehstuecksangebot und der Service dazu ist eben Catalanisch mau. Man hat den Eindruck, dass man sich nicht besonders bemuehen muss, denn die Leute kommen auch so.l

This hotel was in the heart of Las Ramblas, but not really a hotel--definitely a hostel. I paid for four people to sleep in a room, they would only give us three towels, we slept on cots, they didn't clean the floors, our roomkey device broke and they had to let us in the room when we needed to go in and out, and refused to give us a new one. The workers were very rude and unhelpful and smoked the whole time in the lobby. I would have moved immediately if I hadn't pre paid orbitz. No AC, it was sweltering! Also, the reception doesn't take calls, so family from home cannot get through--not a good feeling!

We booked Las Ramblas for 1 night prior to leaving for our cruise the next day...the rooms were relatively clean, although on the smaller side (we had 4 of us crammed into a room with 4 twin beds). The bathroom was clean and we had no problems with plumbing/toilets. 2 of the 3 staff members we encountered at the desk were helpful and spoke pretty good English, and they helped us make several (free) calls to our airline as they had lost our luggage. We picked the hotel because of the price, which was low compared to several other hotels in the area, and also because of the great location- steps away from Las Ramblas and in the Gothic Quarter!!! The plaza (Placa Reial) that the hotel is located in is pretty with palm trees and a fountain in the middle, and is a great local hangout place day or night. Lots of action & night life in surrounding area. Biggest negative- VERY NOISY! We didn't get much sleep as you could hear the noise from the crowds hanging out in the plaza until well past midnight, and we were kept awake by several of the guests in our hallway in the hotel who were laughing, talking loudly and slamming their doors at all hours of the night & morning. Breakfast was complimentary and the little breakfast nook in the basement was nice- stone walls but with a modern feel/look to the furniture and decor. Overall not a bad place to stay, especially for the money as most of the other places we looked at near Las Ramblas in Barcelona were pricey! Just be prepared for the noise and bring earplugs, as we had read other reviews and knew what we were getting into ahead of time.
