No-frills hotel that still feels fancy
I was surprised how inexpensive the rooms were for a 4-star hotel. When we arrived there though, we found out that it's because every little extra costs a small fee. The regular room that I booked was very spartan, but for only 5 Euro we upgraded to an "executive" room which was very nice and comfortable. Internet, breakfast, the office center, and even the room safe cost a few euro extra, which is annoying if you need those things, but keeps the cost down if you end up not wanting them. Overall, it was very pleasant. Every room has balcony access for some fresh air, and the hotel is blocks away from two metro stations, the rail station, and the 5-Euro Aerobus to the airport.

Long walk from hotel
Walk from the hotel to Plaça Espanya, and continue walking through the two big brick towers toward the hill ahead of you. Up that hill, at the top of the stairs infront of the museum, is an amazing view of Barcelona.

Gutes Hotel in günstiger Lage
Personal war sehr hilfsbereit, Zimmer war alles gut, kleine Abzüge für die Badewanne (nicht 100% sauber, aber es sollten sich nur wahre Ordnungsfanatiker daran stören)

Hyvä hotelli ja erittäin avulias henkilökunta
Hotelli on hyvien liikenneyhteyksien varrella. Erittäin avulias henkilökunta, neuvoivat nähtävyyksille ja hotellilta sai hyviä karttoja mukaan. Huoneet olivat siistit, tosin parvekkeet olivat hieman karut. Hotellissa on turvallinen fiilis, ja muutenkin hiljainen ympäristö, vaikka päärautatieasema on vieressa.

Gute Lage
Aufenthalt vom 02. - 04. 03. 2012 Positiv. Das EXPO ist an guter Lage, Empfang ist gut und speditiv. Negativ. Wir hatten das Zimmer auf Etage 8 es war laut in der Nacht und am Morgen, vom Korridor und benachbarten Zimmern Möbel hin und her schieben. wir hatten uns beschert hat nicht viel bewirkt. Beim Aus- Checken wollte mann uns noch 110 € zusätzlich für die zwei Nächte verbuchen.

The staff was rather friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean, but we did have an issue with noise complaints from our neighbors which I would gather was due to the thin walls as opposed to us having an excessive noise level. The only downfall was that we were charged for purchasing from the minibar because wrappers were left behind by the previous guests. This incident did make me question how thoroughly the hotel room was cleaned prior to our arrival.

Short walk from hotel
Definitely recommend the pizza place right across the street. Not only is the proximity to the hotel a major selling point but the waiters were extremely friendly, the food was good, the sangria was amazing, and the desserts were the cherry on top.

This was the second time we stayed
This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. The 70´s buildning has been modernized in a successful way. The location is excellent considering the airport and travelling. The pool is very nice. The only thing I am not so pleased about is that we booked the more expensive executive room mainly because of the Wifi. It was only at the hotel that we noticed that the Wifi in the excecutive room is for free only, when you make the booking directly from the hotel`s on website.

Relaxing
We really enjoy our stay at the hotel. The employees were extremely helpful. They tried to make our stay in a family kind of ambient. The breakfast was super and we enjoy the terrace on the 10th floor. This trip was fantastic and the accommodations were great.
