A two-year modernization brings fresh splendor to the most exclusive hotel of Barcelona. It boasts an important art history, as Salvador Dali and his wife Gala used to live in the Royal Suite, nowadays Suite Dali. True to its name, the hotel has outfitted its public areas in opulent style, with marble colonnades, ornate moldings, richly upholstered seating and crystal chandeliers. The guest accommodations have a more contemporary feel, with some of the Classic Deluxe rooms sporting mosaic-covered Roman-style bathrooms. Most of them offer a decorative fireplace which dates from 1919 and an elegantly and charmingly classic renovated room with a fresh look. - Under the expertise of Romain Fornell , CAELIS offers its costumers an intimate and exclusive setting in which everyone feels personally attended to. In its minimalist and detail oriented atmosphere, guests can enjoy a renewed menu in which remains his signature dishes such as the vichyssoise in ice cube and the macaroni surf and turf. The menu will change on a daily basis, depending on what chef Fornell will have found that morning at the market. Open from Tuesday till Saturday (Sunday and Monday closed) Open from 8.30pm to 11pm only. Closed during the month of August.
