Clarion Collection Hotel Bastion

Very clean, staff very helpful I wood recomend to to stay.

Location close to train station, trams and busses. Staff was professional and very accomodating. Breakfast couldn't have been nicer with a wide range of selections. Evening buffet was a real plus as dining out in Oslo can be expensive. Special kudos to Geisel(sp) and Patrick who went out of their way to answer questions and especially for their friendliness.

This hotel is fantastic to stay in. It has a very warm feel to it and very relaxing. The staff are really nice and helpful. The food is excellent and you can make waffles everyday and the hotel supplies a buffet tea included in the price. Have stayed here twice and hopefully will be back again.

My friend and I stayed 2 nights in this hotel. The location was good - near the train station. Oslo isn't very big so walking anywhere from here was fine. We loved the meals included (breakfast, dinner) which was a great value since Oslo is extremely expensive. However, the price of this hotel was extremely expensive for what you get in the room. The floor was dusty, the sheets were not that clean. The room was very small, no walking room at all. Overall, way too expensive for the room itself, but the food value evened it out a bit. Side note: we were here during Eurovision which may have made the hotel extremely expensive. Perhaps you can get a better deal later on!

Got this room for $150 a night [...] and it was the deal of the century! Service was outstanding but the best part was the included breakfast, supper, and 24 hour espresso machine! Oslo is a very expensive city and we saved LOTS of money by filling up on the free food and drinks. I've seen some reviews that say this hotel is in a sketchy neighborhood but a 'sketchy' neighborhood in Oslo seems pretty mild. It's a short walk to the center of the city and very near the new opera house.
