Clarion Collection Hotel Havnekontoret

A wonderful location. The room was small and the decor a little strange (sort of modern-ish, with dep purples and browns), but the location could not have been better. The first room was a bit dark, had no view and had twin beds (not what we had ordered), but they were pleasant about allowing us to change rooms. We got a smaller room, but a spectacular view overlooking the harbor, which made it quite special for us. The morning and evening buffets were quite nice. We found the concierge to be a little less helpful than I would have anticipated, but I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Very good position. A light buffet dinner is included in the tariff which is modest but adequate, as is the breakfast. There is a great look-out tower giving spectacular views over the city. It is reasonably close to the Hurtigruten terminal, who have a bus service to major hotels if you arrive from the north. Taxis are reasonably priced to the train station (approximate KR120).

The room cost of this hotel was exceptional value considering it included breakfast and a "light dinner". This buffet meal was more than adequate for anyone as was breakfast. Beside the Bryggen it was a great spot. Airport bus left from outside also.

Decent hotel. Staff was very pleasant. Standard room was very small. On our return visit, the room was warm and we could not cool it since there is no air conditioning. Appreciated the good breakfast and decent evening meal.

Front desk staff more interested in chatting with each other when we arrived to check in and also again when we tried to ask questions. Other than that you can't beat the location. The included light evening meal was way more than we expected and quite a nice suprise as we weren't really prepared for the cost of things in Norway. We liked this concept so much that we sought out other Clarion Collection hotels and did stay at the one in Alesund for 3 nights.

Tremendously enjoyed our stay at the Bergen Clarion. Arrived late, just as dinner service was ending, and front desk personnel encouraged us to go eat first, then check into our room. Food was delicious, still warm, and what we needed after a long day of touring Norway. Room was good size, and included everything one needs. Great location, for everything was within walking distance. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Evening meal was great , as Norway is expensive!

Everything costs more in Norway, and the[...] price coupled with a free dinner buffet made this a great bargain. Located next to several historical sites at the end of Bryggen Skagge, it is close most of what you want to see. Friendly staff went out of the way to be helpful. Minuses-you can hear the TV in the next room.

Great experience staying in this hotel. I will definately choose this hotel agin next time I visit this place.

The location is the best in Bergen, quiet and clean, airport bus stop just in front of the hotel. The newly remodeled guest room is just perfect, not too small, and the smell is good. The breastfast, afternoon tea and light evening meal is so generous and unforgettable, eventhough not so luxurious. Gentlemen and girls in the reception is kind, they also help me contacting the airport for lost luggage. I highly recommand this hotel for anyone traveling to Bergen.
