Freindly helpful staff, Clean rooms, good food.

We'd wake up in the morning listening to the surf and birds. (We would shut off the AC at night and listen to the surf all night). Coffee on the patio in AM. Free breakfast. Walk on the beach. Put on the swim wear. Soak up the sun. Snorkel. Eat nachos and drink. Read books. Walk the beach again. Take a swim. Clean up and have a wonderful meal at the resort or down town. ($8 cab fare). Plus, you can play golf if you'd like. We're comming back! Brad and Connie.

We have been coming to Cozumel for many years. This hotel was everything we needed for a beautiful vacation. Sorry we didn't find it sooner. All rooms have water view balcony, no shortage of beach chairs, full buffet breakfast and unlimited golf included and most important ...the staff was attentive to every detail. We can't wait to go back

My husband golfed every day and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff is wonderful and we just cannot imagine staying at any other hotel. The rooms are spotless, the breakfast is outstanding, lunch menu is great, the bartenders and staff are the best on the island....so kind and friendly. Order a drink once and they remember what you like. The manager takes the time to sit and talk to the guests....the snorkling right there is great...it is wonderful!!

small but cozy - nice views from our 3rd floor hotel room even though we were towards the back - staff very friendly- very short taxi ride to town - beach small but enough to do snorkeling - can take snorkeling excursion on small boat right from short pier by hotel - breakfast was very good - and nice views/close to the water -watch the cruise ships come in while you're having breakfast

We chose this hotel because of its beachfront and somewhat close proximity to downtown and not to mention, all the other positive reviews. It was so relaxing to wake up and fall asleep to the ocean. The crowd at this hotel is older, typically 40s and up and they're all there to golf and relax. We're 29 and we don't do the party scene anymore so the quiet boutique hotel really appealed to us. The rooms were very clean, the complimentary breakfast was fresh, and the staff was accommodating and friendly. My only complaint was the higher cost of food and beverage at the hotel and the beach club next door but I guess that's probably typical of most hotel restaurants. We rented a car for our 5 day trip because we're pretty familiar with the island and we wanted to experience more of the local establishments and get to the other side. This probably isn't the place to stay if you don't want to rent a car because a cab ride each way to and from downtown is about 6-7 US dollars. We will definitely return to Playa Azul and recommend it to our friends and family.

We've been to Cozumel 6 times and this hotel was the best. Excellent service, clean rooms, amenities galore. Good base for bird watching, snorkeling, and beach. Centro is a short taxi ride away.

Best beach area and view on what is now an overcrowded island. A tranquil respite in a beautiful intimate hotel, marvelous staff, beautiful rooms. Will stay at Playa Azul next time we return.

It is slow time in Cozumel. We have stayed here before. Service was once again great, nice people. Breakfast was included and even though there were only a few staying at the hotel. Service was always great and the food very good. Views of the ocean and sunset are superb
