Perfectly Average Hotel Gives Good Value
If you like to hear chanting blaring from a loudspeaker at 6:25AM, this is the hotel for you! Staying at the back of the hotel does help. Also, ask for a room with a window, unless you like the dark at all hours. The rooms are small, but very clean. This would have been a fantastic value if breakfast was included with our room, but it was not. Still, this is a good value.

Short walk from hotel
Don't book any attractions with the hotel. Go to the Jetty or, even better, go to the Cenang area to find good deals for island hopping, snorkeling, and other such local activities.

Langkawi Vacation
You are going to Langkawi to enjoy the outdoors and not to hang out in the hotel all day. Consequently, you get what you pay for. I did think the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
