Solo trip, quite enjoyable
This is a great value. Ten minutes from the airport, great service, beautiful beach. The hotel grounds were immaculate. The beds weren't so comfortable, and the food was more of an international flair. I would have preferred more authentic Jamaican style, but it wasn't terrible. I traveled alone, and I never felt like I was. the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would return anytime.

Nice time.....
The pool area was very nice. The lounge chairs were pretty comfortable for lounge chairs. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. The best lunches we had were from the hut on the beach. They served barbeque chicken , sausage, rice and beans every day. Lunch at the buffet was just ok (the pinkist hotdogs I've ever seen). Themed dinners were pretty good. Entertainment was pretty good. Staff was very pleasant. The night club was only open from 11-2 and it didn't start hopping until after midnight. There is a tiny casino, a couple of slot machines and a virtual blackjack machine; it was okay to pass some time and donate and couple bucks but if you're looking to gamble this is not the place. The mall across from hotel looks relatively new, there were a lot stores not yet occupied. Once they are all up and running it can be a nice little outside mall.

Short walk from hotel
The taxi service inside and outside the RIU will try to take you to the mall across the street. There is really no need, they get a cut for taking you there. Note: they drive on wrong side of road.

great getaway.....
We had a wonderful time,from staff to room service it was all good ,,, our waiter Damian was 1st class at what he does , he kept reminding us that we were on vacation so just to relax and enjoy. Keri-ann and the front desk crew were wonderful. the only draw back was the beach, lots of sea weed !!! The oceans bottom didnt feel good at all on your feet.

excellent visit
This place was awesome. Food was great!!! I had the chef do my pork well done and he didn't hesitate. Room was nice, enjoyed the mini bar. I would definitely go back

Fantastic 5
Fabulous 5 girls week
This was our second time here and it's the best! We love the resort , the location, and the whole staff was beyond fantastic.They couldnt do enough for us and was happy to do it ! We had many great waiters and entertainment people but Morris our waiter was wonderful and Nikki , part of the entertainment crew was great. The shows we seen were spectacular, one was Grease and the Michael Jackson tribute was fabulous...we cant say enough about our experience at the RIU Montego Bay...will definitely be back for a third time in the future. My daughter got hurt jumping in the pool ( her fault) not badly hurt but enough to limp and everyday everyone asked how she was ,and if she needed anything.It's just a wonderful place. This place is Good!
Was very satisfied with this place. Lots of places to eat. Reasonably Good Food. Large Drink Selection List. They had very impressive show, we saw Michael Jackson Tribute, Excellant Regae Band, and Excellant Steel Band. Very good high quality entertainment included nightly with hotel. Pool was outstanding. Beach left a little to be desired, but this hotel had a reasonably good dive shop right on the beach, and I was surprise at how good the diving sites were which the dive shop took you out to see on their boat which is parked right on the beach. The hotel also had a very large snorkel boat. I
