Crowne Plaza ROME - ST. PETER'S

Our experience here for our one night stay was very good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Facility is modern and clean. Only negative (and that's not terrible) is its location away from all the sights of Rome...unless one wants to get away from the noise and crowds of Rome, then its perfect.

My wife and I had took a taxi to this hotel from Leonardo DA Vinchi airport. It takes about 30 minutes. The location is about 1.25 miles from the nearest metro station so we had to walk a lot, which when it rained was not any fun at all. The staff was very helpful with my questions about the shuttle, the AC, and several other questions. The hotel grounds were well kept and easy to walk around. The room was clean and had plenty of seating. They also gave us a complimentary bottle of Italian wine for our anniversary which was very thoughtful. I do have to say the food at the restaurant, Osteria, was just marginal and overpriced. The desserts were awful. I would definitely recommend eating elsewhere. The location of the hotel was in a poorer area of Rome. We were followed a couple times at night so I would recommend taking a taxi if you have children. We walked a lot, but I am a bigger guy so I am not so easily intimidated. The Roma pass made the metro trips more cost effective than taxis for us. The shuttle schedule and locations where it ran were extremely limited and pretty much unuseful for my wife and I. The lack of transportation was something that will change where my wife and I stay in the future. The cost savings compared to the location were not worth it in this situation. If they provided a Roma Pass or train schedules that would have helped. Compared to other hotels in the US, this hotel ranks near the bottom. The amenities and transportation are much better in US cities like New York, Chicago, etc. We have not stayed at any other hotels in Europe so we have nothing to compare against in that case. Overall, it was a good trip, but we will look elsewhere next time.

Visit to this hotel was as follows: The shuttle bus was not run for holiday maker schedules but convenient to hotel. Breakfast - was described as "American Style" not quite the same as an American Style Buffet ! Rooms needed updating and Tea/Coffee facilities were not stocked on a daily basis. Reception - could not speak good English and therefore unable to offer any other suggestions or ideas. Would not qualify for a 4* hotel only 3* refurb works were ungoing in reception and we weren't informed.

We enjoyed the short walk to the shops and restaurants near by. Having free shuttle bus from the hotel to the city center at specific scheduled time is nice.

Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl in diesem Hotel.Mein Mann war vorher 1 Woche im Mariott Hotel,welches für Ihn viel schlechter war. Die meisten Angestellten waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend. In Rom sind die Leute allgemein nicht überschwenglich freundlich .Aber ich denke wie man in einen Wald ruft kommts zurueck und wen man sich noch mühe gibt Italienisch zu sprechen dan geht fast alles.... Die Lage war für uns optimal.Am morgen nahmen wir den Hotelshuttelbus um 9.00 uhr und waren den ganzen Tag unterwegs.Der Shuttelbus ging alle 3/4 Stunden.Wenige Meter vor dem Hotel halten zudem noch 2 Buslinien. Das Zimmer war für uns o.k.Wir hatten 2 Grosse Doppelbetten.Das Badezimmer hatte eine Dusche-Bademöglichkeit wobei man das Bad nicht mit unseren vergleichen kann.Die Spülung klemmte einwenig und nach 6 Tagen war ich froh wieder bei mir zu Hause zu duschen.Komfort mässig.Italien halt.Wir würden aber wieder in dieses Hotel gehen,da wir den Spa Bereich nicht austesten konnten.P.s dennBus fanden wir super.Leider fährt der letzte schon um 21.15 zurück ins hotel.Dann nahmen wir ein taxi.P.S für den Shuttle vom Flughafen zum Hotel bezahlt man gleichviel oder sogar etwas mehr bei 4 Personen.Unter 4 kommts einem mit dem Shuttle günstiger...

An absolute treasure not far from the Vatican. Excellent service and amenities.

This was a family trip. We spent most of our time in Rome. The positives were that the staff was friendly and helpful. They helped make sure that tour vouchers were printed up and called tour companies to arrange pick ups. The downside was that the restaurant food was very expensive and of very poor quality.There is only one other restaurant within walking distance(good food but poor service).The shuttle bus to Vatican City is only in the morning and once it is filled your out of luck and have to catch a taxi (10 Euros) to Vatican City. You're also on your own to get back to the hotel in the afternoon(another 10 Euros) The shuttle to the center city doesnt start until 4 pm. You can get to center Rome by walking through vatican city to pick up the Metro into Rome (Metro ticket is 1 Euro each way per person) If I had to do it over again, I would have booked a hotel in the center of Rome.Then we would have had more restaurant choices and easier access to sites.Also there is one hotel gift shop at the hotel which is not always open,even when it is supposed to be.

The hotel has all of the creature comforts you could want while on vacation. They off a shuttle service that takes you down town. There is also a taxi stand on the premises. They also have a contract with a tourist agency that will pick you up from the hotel and take you to their location.

Tutto perfetto e adeguato al livello dell' Hotel.

The hotel was good .the staff was very nice and hepl full .the hotel is not to close to town but they have a bus transportation that was good.
