Cicerone Hotel Rome

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and got nightmare experience about this hotel. Every single living worker there was so cranky and looked so unpleasant. They are all OLD (well, nothing wrong with being old and working) and seemed not to have energy or passion for what they are doing. They looked like a whole bunch of zombies. Especially the old men. The location is close to the Vatican City. Other than that, every else was horrible. NO free Internet and I have to pay €10/night. I was so surprise that in the middle of Europe, Internet is still charged. The bottom line is, stay away from this hotel at any costs of your life. You don't want to spend your money to get the frustration and stress. People in that hotel gave me so much stress and nightmare.

magnifique emplacement bien desservi metro a 200m arret de bus pour aeroport meme chose 10mn de marche pour le vatican !!!!!seul bemol minime chaines francaises a l hotel tv europe qui parle que de l afrique aaa!!!sinon tres bon petit dej personnel agreable!!!ps garde les bagages dernier jour pour pouvoir encore en profiter!!! tres bon petit restau en sortant a gauche de l hotel!!!!clein d oeil !!!

We loved the Cicerone. The hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful with city and tour questions. The breakfast, which was included, was wonderful. We would stay there again.

The hotel was fine. It was in a great neighborhood, close to shops, Metro, and a nice walk to the Vatican. The Metro was maybe 3-4 blocks away and two stops from the Spanish Steps. The Hotel was clean and had all the amenities one needs. I had a single room, and it had a queen sized bed and a big bathroom. Plenty of closets and a fridge/minibar. No view as I was on the inside, but I did not care as the hotel was only 7 stories tall, the norm for buildings in Rome. I would stay there again.

Wir waren im 8. Stock und hatten ein "Smart Room" gebucht. Das Zimmer war unheimlich klein und hatte nur ganz kleine längliche Fenster unter der Decke. Das heisst selbst bei Sonnenschein war es im Zimmer dunkel und wir mussten das Licht einschalten. Nach Rückfrage ob wir das Zimmer wechseln könnten hiess es, dass alle Smart Rooms so kleine Fenster haben und einen Aufpreis zu den 170 Fr. pro Nacht wollten wir nicht auch noch bezahlen...Die Lage war perfekt und wir konnten alles zu Fuss erreichen, aber der Preis und die Leistung passen hier einfach nicht vor allem nicht wenn man ein 4 Stern Hotel bucht.

Les points forts de cet hôtel: - hôtel très bien situé pour visiter Rome et le Vatican - le personnel est vraiment très serviable Des excursions sont proposées par l'hôtel et peuvent être réservées à l'arrivée. Un transfert à l'aéroport est également proposé (en payant). Le confort de la chambre et la qualité du petit déjeuner (buffet) est bien, même si l'on pourrait s'attendre à mieux pour un hôtel de cette catégorie.

Le grand plus de l hôtel est son emplacement. Il est situé a 5 min de l'arrêt de l'autobus qui mène à l'aéroport et aussi à 5min du métro Lepanto menant à tous les monuments. Autrement la chambre était grande mais les vitres teintées ne laissent passer aucune luminosité et les chambres sur la route sont bruyantes. Le personnel est serviable et le petit dej est européen; Voila je le recommanderai pour un week-end sans aucun problème;

Hotel war OK, die Zimmer eher klein und von der Ausstattung her eher ein 3* als ein 4*. Das Personal ist dafür ausserordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Lage des Hotels ist natürlich top

Nous avons eu la malchance de recevoir une chambre côté rue: résultat: réveil à 6heures; les bus ne cessent de passer et de s'arrêter juste devant l'hôtel et comme les fenêtres sont très peu isolantes, c'est comme si les bus traversaient la chambre; heureusement, après 2 nuits nous avons reçu une autre chambre, côté cour, donc un peu plus calme. Le personnel est très nombreux, mais tout tourne comme dans une ruche et personne n'est vraiment à l'écoute; l'anonymat est la règle. A part cela, la station de métro n'est pas si proche ...

The Hotel was fairly ordinary and geared to groups but it was immaculately clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful Breakfast was plentiful and there was a wide choice of food. The light switches were a bit of a mystery but generally an easy and good place to stay.
