Nice older hotel, good location & value.
Very friendly staff, gave us lake view room at booked price. Room was large and comfortable, but bath as noted had an old, narrow tub with a shower handle so you needed to sit to bathe. Narrow tub made it difficult to do that without spraying water all over the room. Breakfast was excellent and location is prime across from boat dock. Nice view and overall good experience.

Fraud & Expense
Antiquated room. No air condition. Rude Staff. Noisey Room. Staff Unhelpful. Expensive, over $220 USD. This hotel should be removed from Orbitz as an option. Avoid this horrible experience do not visit Hotel Splendide or Bellagio. The entire travel industry there is resentful and gougers.

Great location
Hotel Splendide has excellent location on Lake Como. Clean. No air conditioning, but that is rare at all the hotels on the lake. No room service. Staff recommends not drinking the tap water. They charge for bottled water. A good breakfast is included. Near many shops and restaurants. Staff extremely helpful to arrange activites, car, etc. There is much to do at Lake Como, so for a place used primarily for a restful night, I recommend this hotel. The back side away from the road was very quiet.
