Hotel Metropolitan

The room and bedding was nice. The doors are PAPERTHIN so be aware. The decor is updated and cool.

We were in Bologna for a couple of days. Hotel Metropolitan is conveniently located close to the center of town, yet very quiet in a small street off one of the main streets. Ideal for exploring Bologna by foot. Breakfast is excellent, staff are very friendly, Internet access is free (provided you leave a copy of your passport) and worked great. Our room was a little bit outdated in terms of decoration, but we saw other rooms that looked a lot nicer. Overall we definitely recommend this hotel!

Put is in their apartments, said they were bigger. We found them a bit TOO modern and cheap looking, also next to some longer term stay with children (some crying at inconvenient times). Would recommend staying in the Hotel which is just fine. Also, skip the breakfast ... not really worth it.

Friendly Service, good location and really nice breakfast. But the single room is very small with a window next to some service area, wouldn't book it again.

It is always a bit of a trade off - central location and convenience vs. noisy city atmosphere, but in this hotel the staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is a very good base for exploring the streets of the historical centre of Bologna. The room we were in was spacious, but the bed was a little uncomfortable, but the breakfasts were good with many choices.

Excellent location, 5 minutes walk from the centre and tourist attractions. Very clean and well decorated hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. As soon as we mentioned a bulb was not working it was replaced. We would certainly recommend this hotel

Staffs were always very helpful, and all spoke English. The location of the hotel was very convenient. It was a easy 10 minute walk north from the Central Train Station/Bus Depot, or 10 minutes walk south to Magiorre Square for the all the sights, or 10 minutes walk east to the University of Bologna and many of the bars/pubs. The breakfast was simple (croissant/bread/cereal/cold cuts/pate/cheese/hard boiled egg/fruits/cakes) and the presentation was wonderfully stylish! The shower is a bit snug, and the water temperature changes when the toilets are flushed. The room is small, but didn't matter since I was in the city for a meeting and was never there except to sleep. The hotel has no WiFi, but I managed to tap into a neighbor's unsecured WiFi signal during my stay. The lobby has a computer with internet access for 5 euros per hours (The first 15 minutes were free).

A good hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was a good size and spotless, although the Central Heating was set a little too high. Breakfast was very well presented and perhaps best of all the hotel was only 5 minutes walk from the main Piazza. Would choose this hotel again if staying in Bologna

Welcoming and charming staff. Room spacious, and well designed in contemporary Italian style. Good breakfast choice, well presented, in a stylish setting. Great central location, only 2 minutes walk from airport bus drop off stop. Excellent weekend break pricing.

Very nice hotel, perfect location in a small street 3 minutes from plaza major. Staff are very helpful and professional, breakfast of very high quality. Room was spacious, nice and clean, bathroom a little tiny. Overall a great experience for a very sharp price.
