Royal Plaza Hotel Hong Kong

Es wurde uns für 4 Erwachsene Personen EIN einzelnes Zimmer angeboten. Handtücher und Badetücher hingegen waren nur in zweifacher Ausführung vorhanden... Dies finde ich nicht akzeptabel. Das Hotelpersonal war ebenfalls nicht gerade sehr freundliche und hilfsbereit. Die einzig freundlich und höflichen waren der Page und der Personen welche mir die Tür aufhielten. Gegen Nachmittag wollte ich an die Lion Rock Bar etwas trinken gehen zu viert und wir wurden vertröstet auf einen Sitzplatz an der Wand obwohl die Hälfte der Sitzplätze beim Fenster noch Frei waren. Plötzlich sagte sie, dass alle Sitzplätze bereits reserviert sind obwohl diese zu Beginn des Gesprächs noch Frei waren. Der Hotelsafe ist weniger sicher als eine Schublade. Die ist billig und unser stieg dreimal aus. Diese öffnete sich von selber... Als wir die Unterlagen vom Hotel durchgingen, das Wilkommendossier fiel uns auf, dass wir als Hotelgäste 25% Rabatt auf die Hotelrestaurants erhalten. Diese haben wir nie erhalten. Als wir aus checken wollten, wurde uns Pay TV noch verrechnet obwohl diese nie verwendet worden ist. Zu Beginn hies es Sie können nicht sagen wann es verwendet worden ist. Nach mehrmaligem energischen nachhaken haben Sie nachgegeben und uns gesagt das der Film um 6 Uhr Morgen für sagenhafte 16 Sekunden lang gespielt wurde. Sie wollten zu Beginn den Film uns trotzdem verrechnen erst als man energisch wurde haben Sie davon abgesehen. Als wir noch unser Zimmer bezogen war und ist dieser immer noch am Renovieren. D.h. der Swimmingpool ist nicht zugänglich, und wenn man ein Zimmer unterhalb des 17. Stockwerks hatte war es laut.

Very nice renovated room and good location. This hotel is connected with shopping centre.

The smell of the entire hotel is fresh and clean. The rooms were very comfortable and location is convenient to shopping and night markets.

Although its location is not good as other hotel in mongkok, it has own shopping center. The price is very cheap since the room including bathroom is very big compare to other hotel.Next time i will choose this hotel again

My wife and I stayed at the Royal Plaza for five nights from Jan 7-12. It was recommended from a friend who got married at the Royal Plaza a year ago. We were excited about its location and the high ratings from travel sites. The hotel would have met our high expectations if it was not currently under heavy renovations. About half of the hotel seems to be under renovations, with about half of the hotel floors from 7-12 closed off. The gym and pool are also closed. Plus the Century Mall that is attached to the hotel is also under renovations. While the hotel has done a good job in isolating the construction from guests, the noise from the construction is still audible as early as 7am until 7pm. The renovations are occurring on floors 7-12 can be heard on floor 17, where we stayed. You will need to use ear plugs that the hotel staff provided in order to sleep through the early morning hours. The good thing is that the construction cannot be felt in any way, otherwise we would have moved to another hotel. If it were not for the ongoing construction, the hotel has potential for 5-star from me. The hotel room carpet was plush to the touch. Our king size bed was firm and we would have slept-in every morning if we did not have sightseeing things to do. The bathroom is very modern with a rain shower that one can expect at this price range. We would come back once the renovations are done. But if you are one of those travelers who do not want to deal with a hotel under renovation, I would stay at another comparable hotel for the same price. I paid US$180/night and there are plenty of other hotels in the same price range without the noise. Once the renovations are done later this year, I suspect that this hotel will score high. Until then, I would think twice about booking a non-refundable reservation.

We really enjoyed the Royal Plaza. We paid for the upgrade to the executive floor and that was well worth the extra charge. The staff could not have been more courteous. The location is good. The hotel is attached to a mall that is functioning, but has areas still under construction. The subway runs under the mall and that makes travel in Hong Kong very easy. There was some construction going on in the hotel and the pool was closed. We did not know thta in advance so that was a bit disappointing.

After receiving a survival kit at the check-in they let us know that therer were some works ongoing, we will have no water during daytime and the noise was over 95 decibel during the day. Addistionally we booked with breakfast, but we had to pay that separately. Had better experiences later on with other hotels...

hotel was great, lot of refurbishment going on in the hotel and shopping mall attached , but did not spoil our time there.watching the trains coming through whle having a meal in la scala was interesting. Variety of food was something amazing, never seen such variety , on our travels using a 5* hotels ( which is Many). Location was ideal with the bird, flower,ladies and goldfish streets close by. Free shuttle down to near central pier one thing to say if any one is going from november 2012 to late autumn 2013 the health club will be closed

Good location fantastic traspot anypart in hong kong

It was one of the best hotels we stayed at. Good security and fast check in & out procedure. It was 1 min walk to Mong Kok East station which is almost at the heart of Kawloon. We walked (8 mins) to Monk Kok station instead which is very easy for tube connections and right by all the shopping districts. Rooms were very clean and big, unusual for Hong Kong hotels in general. The only complain I have is that the outdoor pool temperature was a little cold for swimming in November time, certainly too cold for my 4 year old daughter. Also the toilet in the room for some reason was making a lot of noise everytime someone flashed from the room above. The beds were heavily - goose down pillows and quilts, bed wasn't too soft so we slept like babies every night. Bless!
