Just to clear any fog that may be in the air-hotel stars in the US does not compare to hotels in Europe. This was a four star hotel that would be rated as a bad motel in the US if that. However relative to other hotels in the areas, this hotel had a great view of the city, outside the hotel was well maintained, respectable staff etc. Inside the hotel; there is a T.V. I think its 15 inches with three channels, there is internet-but you have to pay for it, the rooms are pretty small (Europe again), and the water is not drinkable. Besides that, its a great place to spend the night and enjoy breakfast and a free ride from and to the center of the city.

Staff was courteous, helpful and sympathetic. They did what they could to accomodate us even though [...] did not inform them of our reservation. We were put out of the hotel after two nights, since they were fully booked.

It was a problem that the air conditioning was turned off, despite rather hot weather (for us from the northern part of Europe), and the staff seemed not to bother about this, despite requests about turning it on. This turned out troublesome during night, both I and my college (in another room) had problems with sleeping.

ホテルのシャワーはこの値段のホテルにしてはいただけない。 カーテンだけで囲まれた簡易シャワーの様なものでなく、せめてアクリルなどで囲まれた個室であって欲しい。 キレイなホテルだけに残念。

Good, clean hotel. Least-old view, but good. I was not sure is underground parking nearby hotel's, but first I decided to park before asking that - a clear sign is needed.Parking with cameras and big metal barrier - no one can get there in the night. The staff is polite and helpful. A little far (mey be 20 minutes or more) from center walking tour, but is not too noisy from traffic. Too bad that must pay for parking, but at least it exists and had free space. Ideal if you travel by public transport or taxi. Don't try to do travel in the city with your car - free parking spaces is mistery, you must pay 4.5 euro/hour or 2euro/hour for 3+ hours, so better learn the route of public transport, it is frequent, buses was not full.

Die Zimmer entsprechen nicht den Bildern sondern sind viel zweckmäßiger. Das Frühstück scheint mir für 12e überteuert, Alternative für uns war der StarBucks in der Stadt. Die Zimmer sind hellhörig, Türenknallen etc. waren deutlich zu hören. Am 2-3 Abend machte ein Haufen Jugendlicher nachts um 2-3 deutlich hörbar Rabatz. Die Rezeption wusste nicht, wo das Touristencenter ist. Auf der Rückseite liegt das Hotel an einer viel befahrenen Straße. Positiv ist die Lage zu nennen sowie die Verkehrsanbindung und die Sauberkeit. Für das gebotene meiner Meinung nach zu teuer.

The hotel is not situated in the garden spot of the city but is a short walk from the port and seafront and from nicer shopping and dining areas further to the south and east. The hotel is clean and the staff are courteous. Optional breakfasts and internet connections are expensive relative to the price of the hotel, and can easily ruin an otherwise good bargain. The room and bathroom were modern and adequate. There are not many TV channels, but who comes to Greece to watch TV?

Everything was excellent. Pianists were excellent and added a lot to the ambiance in the lobby. Would have appreciated the inclusion of a simple continental breakfast and free local calls.

Mittelklasse Hotel! Nur zur empfehlen wenn man in der nähe vom Flughafen übernachten will.

Le prix est un peu élévé pour la prestation, couloirs bruyants, et l'extérieur aussi. Sinon le reste est bien , surtout le petit déjeuner.

For this price is very decent hotel in the right spot. Wi Fi is available, but with very limited bandwidth.

Very good hotel in the city center. Excellent for those who are interested in shopping.

Maybe remove shower curtains and replace with aluminum cubicles for more space. Maybe enlarge showers a bit. The rest is superb!

Le Palace Hotel is located just a short walk to many historic sites, Aristotle Sq., the amazing open markets, shopping, and the fantastic restaurants near the Ladakia section of Thessaloniki. There is a nice breakfast offered in the morning with many choices of coffee (Greek coffee my favorite!) fresh bread, yogurt, fruit, cheeses, and other specialties. There is a terrific view of the busy streets below from your table as well. The beds were very comfortable and the room spacious, however, it was much too hot and it was difficult to sleep. Opening the window helped but since our room was just over an outdoor garden, mosquitoes found there way inside quickly, so we had to close the window again. We asked the staff to assist but it really did not help all that much. The staff were generally friendly, especially those in the restaurant, but the lobby is very small and usually the lobby staff sat behind a wall. There was no information on sites to see in the area or suggested restaurants but they did have a street map available on the counter. We discovered the large flea market by accident as it weaves in and out of side streets and alleys but collectively is massive. It would have been nice to learn of this wonderful find earlier - especially since it is just a few blocks from the hotel. I think the staff in the lobby could be a little more friendly too. Little things would make a big difference and the stay more enjoyable such as offering postage stamps for sale, which they do not. Also, they do not have a computer for use in the business center, so if you need to check airline tickets for example, you will need to have your own laptop and then you can use their wireless service to connect. Otherwise you will need to find a wireless cafe. Of interest to note, while we were there the hotel changed its policy to be a 100% smoke free establishment - which is amazing since it seems everyone in Thessaloniki smokes! They are very energy conscious and have motion lights in every hallway and you must install your room key in a slot in the room to keep the electricity on. All very good. Overall we had a nice experience, but given how uncomfortably hot the room was, I don't know if we would stay here again, especially since there are other choices in the same wonderful location.

The roof top restaurant offers excellent food. Employees were friendly and helpful.

Excellent location and very nice view from the rooftop terrace. Unfortunately these are the only pro. Polite but unwilling to help staff. When I requested change of the room because it was facing a huge construction I was charged additional EUR 30 and moved into another room. In the morning I was awaken by the noise from the same construction, realising that the new room was very next to it. The walls between rooms and the inner doors are thin and definitely not soundproof. The mades are noisy. The personnel in the breakfast room had to be chased after.
