Villa Pantheon

A great location, 2 blocks from Notre Dame and the Pantheon. Also close to great shopping, Boulevard St. Michel and rue St. Germain. Very clean but small rooms. We were promised a double bed, but got 2 twin beds pushed together. Very expensive breakfast. Sweet little cafes in the neighborhood. No computer for us to use, but free wi-fi if you have your own. helpful friendly staff.

Let me begin by saying that all hotels in Paris are miniscule. This one was no exception. It was just big enough to house my wife and I along with our belongings. Had we invited a guest to share a drink in the room, we would have had to glue him to the ceiling. That said, the decor and layout was lovely and the bed was reasonably comfortable. The lobby is cozy, and the staff is friendly. I did, however, have a problem with the wake up call service. On two of our five nights no call was placed and we overslept. Bring an alarm. The location in perfect: right near the Pantheon and within 2 blocks of St. Michel's commercial district, the Sorbone, the Latin quarter, and St. Severin. Overall highly recommended for location and value.

If you want a hotel room that is picturesque enough so that you can share with your friends on facebook and communicate that so-called "Paris" feeling, this might be the right hotel for you. But if you want actual comfort and cleanliness, then you might want to weight your options considering the price you're paying for this allegedly 4 star hotel. The rooms were once upon a time beautiful, so was the lobby and the bar. But nowadays they're all worn down and at nights you may even see ghosts! You don't get much for what you pay for. We paid on average 160 Euros a night for what was essentially a dungeon on the ground floor. No daylight. No wifi (you had to pay for it or use the free 56K modem-type wifi in the lobby). Breakfast not included (15 Euros per person). In the same neighborhood you'll find much cheaper hotels with all of that included! But you have to give credit when credit is due, the staff were all nice. Not their fault their hotel managers refuse to do a much needed renovation...

Hotel was fine although elevator having issues when we were there. Convenient location to subway, trains, sights.

This is my first Paris trip. The location is perfect. Walking distance to the metro stations (Notre Dame, St Michel, and Maubert-Mutualite), Seine river, Notre-Dame Cathedral and Louvre palace museum. La Pantheon is also near the hotel. The staff is very helpful. Small room (most hotels have small rooms anyway), clean, elegant and have character. Have to pay for the breakfast, but who cares? Excellent cafe and bistro nearby for espresso and crepes and do you want to be stuck with the hotel food?

Small room! No wifi in room-only in lobby---slow at times. Two streets from nearest Metro stop. Quiet room. Old fashioned door key hard to use. Hard bed. Hotel staff friendly and helpful! No coffee/tea in rooms.

With a great location in the center of the city it was easy to get everywhere but quiet and confortable enough to sleep in. I would go back again and again.

My wife and I stayed for 10 nights in late May of 2011 at Villa Pathanon for vacation. We arrived 4 hours before checkin and were allowed to drop off our bags so we could catch the local layout which I found to be very helpful. Checkin overall was smooth but the clerk was not as responsive as could have been to our questions. The rooms are small with a comfortable bed, flatscreen TV and clean private bathroom but no glass or toiletries and a safe to store your passport and credit cards ect. It was a bit noisy in our location being on the front of the hotel. The rooms were cleaned everyday but could have been better. Decor was ok but nothing elaborte. Nowhere to sit or relax in the room due to the size and lack of chairs. If you want a room to sleep in and is close to everything (5 Min walk to Notra Dame) good food and great pastry,this is a nice place to stay. Not a 4 star hotel and a bit pricy but hay, this is Paris.

Excellent hotel. Noise from the street in the room we had. Staff were friendly and helpful.
