The Hotel is located in the calm of a quiet side street. It used to be a town house, transformed in hotel during the twentieth century. The building remained absolutely charming and its wood stairwell has not changed.

Mauvais accueil, mauvais service, petit dejeuner mediocre, service de chambre laisse a desirer, nous avons quitter l'hotel sans pouvoir signer le document de paiement ni obtenir une facture parceque l'employe a oublie le code d'acces au programme. mauvaise experience.

Had a one night stay in Paris. Hotel is fairly conveniently located, but a little tricky to find. Staff was fluent enough in English.Hotel is small (by US standards) and typical single person elevator.Warning: hotel posted warnings that they are renovating; otherwise I would complain about he bathroom (broken fixture in the shower, which also had some mold/mildew issues). On the upside, the nearby main street is filled with cafes, restauarnts, pubs (aa few obviously LGBT-friendly),confectionaries and shopping.in short, it's a bed close to a nice neighborhood.Could do better for the price.

Lots of nearby cafes and dining at least one open all night.Try staying on the main street as there are a few alleys in the area that may make you feel "creepy" late at night...although the numerous pubs etc. ensure there are always people around.

The hotel is in a very convenient
The hotel is in a very convenient location in the heart of central Paris and within easy walking distance of several of the main areas of interest. The room was comfortable and clean and average size for a Paris hotel. As it is off a main street it was quieter than we expected in such a central location.

Il est grand temps que le système
Il est grand temps que le système de référencement par étoiles des hotels soit revu ! ! ! salle de bain à revoir ... insonorisation lamentable...

Broken Promises
I always try to pick airports and hotels with free WIFI--Internet access. So I chose this hotel partly based on that. It worked fine for one day. It did not work at all for the other 8 days or so. I complained, I demonstrated and I asked them to show me any evidence that anyone could make it work. No response. I used my handheld just fine in "free" restaurants and in free Paris Parks. Their WIFI access points in the hotel just went off the air completely. I asked them to escalate the problem and got no help. A lot of my trip research involved internet links and I spent a lot of time sitting on a park bench to try to communicate back home etc. A real pain.

Short walk from hotel
Use the Patisseries to buy breakfast bakery goods. Excellent quality, however, buy your goods "to go", then return to hotel and use orange juice and perhaps preserves purchased in the grocery. If you sit down and order coffee, you will pay 14 to 17 euros for 2 people--just one pastry each and one cup of coffee. Fruit purchased in local market is always ripe (not shipped) and delicious. If you have never seen fresh dates--try them, they are excellent.

Excellent location
Jardins de Paris Marais Bastille, Paris, FR is one of several Parisian hotels making up a small chain. Excellent location. Clean, small room. Many restaurants and bakeries within very short walking distance. Across the street from SNCF office for making train reservations. Many cash stations close by. Next door to grocery store.
