Hotel Louvre Rivoli

Angenehmer Aufenthalt, sauberes Bad mit Fenster Zimmer sauber und das Bett sehr bequem- keine zu weichen oder zu harten Matratzen. Zimmer nicht sehr groß- aber man ist ja quasi nur zum Schlafen da. Gerne wieder

Great location and friendly staff. However, the bed was very firm and we did not get a good night sleep the one night we stayed there.

The newly renovated room ('superior design') with double bed was very smart and comfortable; although, I wondered why there were no racks on which to hang towels in the bathroom -- a relatively minor quibble. The staff are extremely responsive, helpful and 'sympathique'. Ideal location steps away from Chatelet metro (and a Belgian beer pub -- woo hoo!). I did also take advantage of fhe hotel's H2O bar. Only negative for me was the lack of fitness facilities.

5/26/2010 to 5/30/2010 - husband and wife - no kids Location was outstandingly convenient: • Hotel lobby entrance on a side street (quiet) • 10 minute walk (about half mile) to Notre Dame • 20 minute walk (a mile) to the Louvre • 1 block from the RER metro, (coming from CDG airport, take the RER Blue line and get off at Chatelet Les Halles exit) • Within 5-6 blocks to the double decker tour bus line. Staff was very helpful. All spoke English better than we could speak French. They all made us feel comfortable. Room (including bath) was recently renovated and contemporary. Size was tight, but bigger than we anticipated. Shower nozzle had LED lights built in that coordinated with the water temperature - no kidding! Flat screen TV and we could find some programs in English. I did not take my laptop on the trip, so I was hoping to have a computer/internet connection at my disposal. There was one in the lobby, but the night-time desk manager did not know the password. I thought breakfast was complimentary, but found out that it was 11 euros/each/day. Good - but not worth the money. We would highly recommend this hotel.
