Hotel De Liege Strasbourg

Il n’y a vraiment rien à jeter : le personnel est souriant et jamais avare de conseils, les chambres sont très spacieuses (30 m2) et propres (le patron les a fait rénover cette année), la salle de bain très moderne (douche à jet), l’emplacement… est idéal tout près du centre, le petit déjeuner est succulent et en plus copieux (classique ou à l’américaine) !!! Je le recommande à toutes celles et ceux qui ont envie de passer un merveilleux séjour dans notre belle capitale.

This hotel should not be classed as a hotel until it is complete, the bags of plaster(15) and bathroom suits (3) in the reception area is your welcome, by the time you get to your room, you are filthy from the stour and dust, once in the room (507) on the fifth floor, the room had broken flooring, unfinished joinery, broken toilet and a shower head attached by a coat-hanger to the wall, when I reported this and the building work that started at 8am and the lack of towels (1 very small towel per couple),it was like speaking to a brick wall even in fluent french, the hotel should be off the market until it gets completed with its renovations, if you are ok to wake up to drilling,hammering,circular saw and plastering happening in your neighbouring rooms, then book away, if you want to relax and enjoy Paris for the wonderful cultural city that it is, take my advise and book elsewhere,also if you are female and you want to go out to Paris at night, this area of gare du nord and l'est is not safe, pay the extra few euro's and head to somewhere more central for accomodation - maybe opera, citi or louvre or travel in this area in pairs/groups,this neighbourhood is not for the faint hearted, you have been warned. I had ignored these prior warnings and almost ruined my Paris trip, do not make the same mistake.

Chambre correcte, mais pas d'oreiller juste un traversin sans housse (il est enroulé dans le drap). Le petit déjeuner n'est pas terrible.

Bon emplacement près de la gare de l'est et du métro. Choix de restaurants dans le secteur. Taille des chambres correcte.

Des tâches partout, sur les dessus de lit, la moquette...et un très mauvais accueil!je déconseille plus que vivement cet hotel

Large modern room with modern spacious toilet. Good breakfast of croissant and baguette. Very friendly and helpful staff that speaks English. Large rooms 4 and 5 person face the streer which is very loud all night. No air conditioning and hot summer months require open windows. Area never feels unsafe but lots of renovation of older street front stores going on. 3 blocks to Metro.

I disagree with some of the negative statements made about this hotel. Our experience was pleasant and we did not feel like we were in a "bad" neighborhood. The district is diverse in its population, but that doesn't mean you are in a dangerous part of town. In fact, we found some delicious Indian restaurants right down the street from the hotel. The hotel is very close to the Chateau d'Eau metro stop, as well as Gare du l'Est. The room wasn't anything special- and any criticisms about the pillows are valid. But from what I understand, pillows in that area of France are usually cylindrical and small. Not what I would have preferred but we got along just fine. Good small breakfasts in the morning that are included in the hotel costs. Also very pleasant employees who will get into philosophical conversations with you if you want!
