Holiday Inn PARIS - GARE MONTPARNASSE

Check-in and check-out processes were quick, staff was helpful, the location was great, and the room comfortable. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Very convenient to TGV, Metro, and airport train.

Good Location. Rude and aloof staff. Took 25 minutes to check us in and we were the only ones in line. Small rooms. No closets. No Drawers. Had to live out of our suitcases on the bed. Room was a pre pay [...] but the hotel had no records. On check out they refused to give us a statement. The shower clooset was 24 inches by 36 inches. Could not close the door once inside the shower. We paid as much as a five star Meridian across the street. A Franchise hotel by Holiday Inn so don't expect the same service. Too Bad Holiday Inn goes this route. I am a gold member with Marriott and Starwood. I'll stick with these brands.NEVER AGAIN A HOLIDAY INN.

Although the room was somewhat small by American standards, it wasn't too bad by European standards. For the price I paid, it was totally worth it. Great location-easy access to the subway system. Would have liked to have easier access to parking. We had to park in a parking garage a few blocks away that charges 30 Euro a day to park there. Not too bad, but it put us at risk for theft carrying our luggage to and from the hotel. Luckily, nothing happened. Loved Paris! So much to see in so little time. We didn't spend much time in the room, but what time we did, it was pleasant. Will definitely keep this hotel in mind if I ever go back to Paris.

Traveled to Paris over the Easter holiday with friends. For the location, the price was really good. The Metro is right outside the door and you can travel all over Paris. There's also a good restaurant right next door to the hotel and cafes to the left & right... just a short walk. The hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Also, the bed was VERY comfortable! The only thing I wasn't too keen about was the "plastic" sink(s) in the bathroom and the cost for breakfast at the hotel, but again, there are lots of cafes in the neighborhood. Another plus was catching the Air France bus from CDG. The drop-off is basically across the street and up the block from the hotel.

Hotel was very nice, quiet and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Room was a decent size (bigger to other European hotels I've stayed at). I was a single person and there were 2 twin beds in the room. It was weird having the toilet and the shower/tub in 2 separate rooms. Helpful, friendly staff. Close to Gaite metro stop (walk within a few mins) and Montparnasse Train Station (across the street). Breakfast was kinda expensive - about 16 Euro. Free wifi in hotel.

The hotel is very close from la Gare de Montparnasse as well as close to Jardin de Luxembourg and Notre Dame. You can pretty much get anywhere from this hotel on foot. It's a central area. THe hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and the room was very nice. It was a little small (had one double bed) but I was only there to sleep - so it was ok.

How can a hotel chain like Holiday Inn lets one of their property managed by such a staff. At one exception (one nice old ladies) the overall experience a this great location was ruined by such non professional and untrained people. During the check-in the tone is set and the day after one unexpected event occured. We had a fire drill and this is where the staff felt completely lost. They didn't know what to do! Didn't have guidance or procedure asking for example customers to step outside and avoid using elevators as it is usually recommended. They didn't call the firemen nor did those guys showed up! I can spend hours describing how bad they were but I rather use the remaining lines to praising the location. Without it this hotel did not deserve your attention. Trust me I know Paris (lived there for 16 years),there are far better places to choose from (Hotel Concorde Montparnasse - location-wise not as good as Holiday Inn tough). So sad, this hotel could have being a must and a great value for money.
