Express By Holiday Inn PARIS-PLACE D'ITALIE

i stayed for business . They advertised wifi. But it was not working and lied how long it was down. I had to argue to allow me access to the business center computer without charge. Truly ruined the good parts of the hotel

Hotel was perfect. Stuff at hotel was helpful. Distance from Center of Paris was reasonable.

The hotel was clean and reasonably updated. Wifi was not included and they charged a lot to get it. The staff was extremely helpful. They contracted a shuttle service to get us to the airport. The metro station was extremely close which made getting around very easy.

I took my mom to Paris for Mother's Day and it was beautiful- of course it is Paris. This hotel was pretty much what I expected- small room/ bathroom/ limited b-fast options. Having said that, I was not expecting the small slow elevator (there were like 5 or 6 floors and many rooms) or the unhelpful attitude of the front desk staff. The staff was really the kicker- I can deal with waiting an extra 7 minutes for the elevator (while my taxi is downstairs with the meter running), but the staff! The issues ranged from discrepancies in the cost of internet access (5 EURO for 15 minutes on the computer in the lobby) to being unable/ unwilling to recommend a nearby restaurant. I recently travelled to Italy and the front desk staff in italy was so helpful and full of tips- that I was expecting more from this holiday inn express staff. I probably would not return to this hotel, but Paris was amazing, as I mentioned before, and I will certainly be back.

Hotel room was OK. Nice shower/bath. Bedroom ok. No food convenience items: refrig/microwave. Coffee machine was hot water jug. Staff at desk was friendly, but breakfast was fair to poor. Coffee machines hardly worked. I had tea instead, or went to the Cafe across the street. Staff couldn't keep up with the breakfast patrons on two different days. Seemed unhappy with patrons.

We were there to see the major tourist attractions and we also ate at the local restaurants and wanted a safe secure place to stay. We upgraded to the better room and got the top, 7th floor large room with an outside large outside deck. The Place d'Italie is located near many local hospitals and can be somewhat noisy at night (we sleep with the windows open), but most of the time this did not bother us. The staff were friendly and helpful and some could speak better English, than I could French. The WIFI service which you had to buy worked well.

I find that it is very centrical. I had the trian station just at 20 meters. Also just crossing the street there are several restaurants. As Paris is a very small town, we could find all locations with in less than 30min by train. Bad thing: Taxis are very expensive. Charge Air-port to Hotel, 60Euros (100 USD aprox.).

The hotel staff was very friendly & helpful with recommendations for restaurants & shopping and directions to other locations in the city. The front desk was extremely helpful & friendly. I would defintely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a nice, clean and centrally located hotel in the ciy of Paris. The only caveat was the smoking in the rooms (the halls smelled heavily of smoke). However, it did not affect the room we stayed in because we had a room at the end of the hallway, so no smoking neighbors. I know that this cannot be helped because there is no smoking ban in Paris.
