The spa was closed for renovation. Only do breakfast if included in price. Reasonable parking rates but you will need to use and pay for parking if you have a car. Went in low season for pleasure and to look for place to buy in France for our future so this package we got at aquanella thru kayak and hotelclub served us well. Truly deserved it's three star rating as compared to some hotels with four stars.

This was my second stay at the Aquabella Hotel. The hotel staff is pretty responsive, especially Hans in the restaurant (for breakfast - the eggs were much improved) and David in the bar - he makes excellent fancy cheese toast. Bring your own washcloth though.

Très bruyant pour un soir de demaine à cause de l'attractivité de la piscine.Vis à vis désagréable avec les clients présents sur le patio pour appt au rez de chaussé : conséquence pour avoir de l'intimité et essayer de se reposer il faut fermer le volet de la pièce principale , utiliser l'éclairage et avoir très chaud car il n'y a pas de climatisation .Pour 1 nuit c'est convenable.Attention le dernier bus ne circule que jusqu'à 22 h, prévoir de réutiliser sa voiture pour diner à AIX.

This hotel is very good, and the meals in the restaurant excellent value, but it is located far from the centre/old town. if arriving by TGV/bus shuttle it is >1/2 hr walk... there is a bus but it stops at 8pm!! if you are driving i would recommend this hotel.

nous sommes arrivés à 1h30 du matin, l'hotel n'avait pas notre reservation, nous avons poireauté 1/2 heure avec un receptionniste veilleur de nuit un peu perdu!! qui nous a finalement laissé une chambre.... sinon, chambre conforme, bon confort, tres grand lit tres confortable

We reserved a two room suite but were given two separate rooms when we arrived. (we were traveling with our 18 month old and a baby-sitter). When we tried to correct them and showed them the reservation they just shrugged. The rooms were very dumpy and desperately needed an upgrade but were very affordable if you don't plan on staying in your room much.
The lobby and service were both very nice though. And the walk to the center of the town was really quite short. More like 5-10 minutes then the 20 that I had read.

This is an excellent fully refurbished property in a quiet location close to the centre. Guests can relax by the pool in the summer. For clients arriving by car, the hotel has its own underground car park. ( 0309/ss ) The building is modern. The hotel is located 400m from the city centre, and not far from the train station.

Le Pigonnet is an idyllic 18th century country house surrounded by glorious gardens just minutes from the city walls of Aix-en-Provence. Set in tranquil gardens with beautiful flowers, age-old trees and stunning fountains, it provides a peaceful refuge.
The atmosphere here is tranquil and distinctly homely with a crackling fire in winter and the sound of cicadas on the terraces in summer. The elegant rooms are Provencal in style peppered with Italian and French objets d arts.
Spend the afternoon lazing on a rattan chair beside the pool or reading a book in a shady corner of the garden. Later, wander into Aix with its myriad of fountains and boutiques, then sit with a drink as you people watch at the famous Les Deux Garcons on Cours Mirabeau, before returning for gourmet nouvelle cuisine.

Excellent hotel, we had a wonderful stay. The gardens, pool, and restaurant were wonderful. Very peaceful and romantic setting. The only negative was that it was a bit of a walk to the historic town center and the sites, about 15 minutes

Hotel Le Pigonnet was delightful and exceeded our expectations. The grounds were so beautiful and romantic that I felt as if I had been transported back in time to a quieter, more gracious era. 19th century writer Jane Austen would have been completely at home here. There is a gorgeous promenade with rows of Horse Chestnut trees with intimate chairs and tables -- the perfect place to have cocktails or breakfast! The gardens are incredible -- full of blooming plants and flowers, fountains and quiet spots for reflection. The hotel property itself is very romantic and beautiful -- just the right mix of contemporary and French country chic that does not look forced or unnatural. It looks like a classic French country estate. The pool area was wonderful and comfortable and downtown Aix-en-Provence was a ten or fifteen minute walk. However, we felt no need to leave the property, as it was perfectly beautiful and captivating. The room was adequate and plenty comfortable with a nice bath and an American style shower. The bedspread and pillows were not as deluxe as I had hoped, but they were fine. We heartily enjoyed dinner and breakfast and felt that the food was a notch better than at comparable hotels in the area, with a friendly and knowlegeable staff and a fine cheese cart. I wish I could have stayed longer and will definitely consider staying at Le Pigonnet should I have the good fortune to find myself in Provence again.

Correct dans l'ensemble bien que les chambres mériteraient d'être raffraichies pour le moins (peintures notamment) car pas digne d'un 3 *. Excentré mais j'avais un ami aixois pour m'y emmener.
Le buffet petit déjeuner est tout à fait correct et abondant.
Moyen globalemnt.

Hotel d'accès facile, bon accueil, qualité des locaux, piscine extérieure.
Petit bémol : le parking ,la rue situé devant l'entrée est théoriquement en double sens mais une voie sert de parking sur plusieurs dizaines de mètres (malgrès les nombreux panneaux d'interdiction) résultat circulation très compliquée, impossible de se croiser.
Il existe un parking souterrain mais impossible d'y accéder avec une malle sur le toit.

Our enjoyed our stay at the Ibis Aix en Provence. We vacationed in Aix en Provence for it's historical and cultural things in the area. The Ibis is located in the suburbs near a bus route that allowed us to conveniently access places in and around Aix en Provence. The staff at the Ibis was knowledgeable and able to answer our questions of the surroundings and items of our interest. The Ibis Aix en Provence has an excellant restaurant, contemporary services, and a first rate staff.

We were upgraded to a junior suite, which was extremely nice. There is free parking in their garage, a definite plus in Aix. The hotel is a short walk to the Cours Mirabeau and the city center. Aix, the home of Cezanne, is pleasant to walk in and has a lively ambience.

Great hotel and location close to shopping/browsing. Perfect for romantic getaway location in Aix. We had a Jr Suite that provided a nice space with separted bedroom/bathroom areas.

El hotel esta muy nuevo y bastante bien, aunque no ofrece muchos servicios o estan sin funcionar. El mapa está mal. Esta bastante lejos de Aix, aunque se llega rapido por autovía. El hotel está por la zona del Europole de l'Arbois pasando Les Milles.

Das Hotel ist erst seit begin 2009 offen, daher ist alles nog ganz neu und sehr sauber. Die Einrichtung fanden wir wirklich ueberraschend stilvoll und das Zimmer ist fuer franz. Verhaeltnisse recht gross. Man konnte herrlich schlafen, keinerlei Geraeusche, auch die Matraze war perfekt, nicht zu hart und nicht zu weich. Man kann gratis vor der Tuer parken und ist innerhalb einer Viertelstunde sowohl am Flughafen Marseille als auch Mitten in Aix-en-Provence. Fuer uns war's ideal und wir kommen wieder!
