A good one to pick!!!!
The hotel was an excellent value when compared to other hotels in the area. We had prebooked an non cancelable room. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the center of the city. The hotel is very large and has all the amenities; king bed, coffee maker in room, separate bath and shower, refrig, and a great full gym, finnish bath(sauna) and a swimming pool. It would have been good to have known that the Finnair Bus goes directly from the airport to a stop right in front of the hotel. It cost 6.20 euros. We would stay there again.

Short walk from hotel
We used the Stockmann Department Store deli and market in the basement for great sandwiches and other prepared foods which we usually ate in different parks in the area. There is a park right across the street from the store too.

Disappointment
Hotellin varausjärjestelmä on vanhanaikainen ja henkilökunta epäystävällistä. Siivoojat tulevat sisään koputtamatta mihin aikaan sattuu ja palautteen läpi saamiseksi joutuu todella tekemään töitä. Tästä kaikesta on luvassa lisäyllätys, jos hotelliin vielä uskaltautuu, lupasi hotellin johtaja. En uskaltaudu.

El autobús del aeropuerto tiene
El autobús del aeropuerto tiene una parada tras el hotel, que tiene una puerta de acceso para los clientes que llegan en este bus. El hotel está frente a la Ópera Nacional de Finlandia, en una gran avenida. Frente a la puerta se pueden tomar autobuses, tranvías y taxis con gran facilidad, aunque caminando se llega rápidamente a cualquier lugar interesante de Helsinki.

The Professor
Tired but convenient
The rooms are somewhat old and tired and the bathroom layout could be better. Beds are a little firm for my taste. However, the staff is excellent, the included breakfast buffet has a broad selection, the sauna is a nice added amenity, and the location is very convenient (although not in the city center, it is a 3 minute tram ride away; easy walk to Opera, national museum and Sibelius monument; the Finnair airport bus also stops just outside the hotel). There are also at least three very good restaurants within 2 blocks.

The staff are good. The whole hotel is tired. I believe they are about to start an upgrade process.

In general it was a nice stay.
In general it was a nice stay. The services were good, staffs were helpful and competent, and we especially enjoyed the large breakfast offer. Hotel was equipped with sauna and swimming pool, but do not expect to swim in it, it is quite small. The location was about 15 minutes by walk from city centre and the Finnair airport bus stops right next to it so that was another plus; cleanness was good, internet was available free of charge which came in handy. Over all we were satisfied with the price/quality ratio. However, I need to point out that the hotel is quite old and its rooms, lobby halls, carpets, and etc. were somewhat shabby; bathroom hairdryers were really bad so ladies take your own. In case you are not a budget traveller and you want a beautiful hotel for a special occasion you might be dissapointed so go for another option.

Nice location where Finnair bus
Nice location where Finnair bus stops right behind the hotel, tram stop is right in front, so access to everywhere is no problem. Hotel staffs were so helpful and polite.
