Sheraton Dreamland Hotel & Conference Center

the room was very clean, staff was courtious but two things made my mind change about staying there again; one was the restaurant took stremely long I understand if they were busy but hardly anyone was there, I also think if the hotel would help tourist get good services and not being over charged specially on transportation example I used a service they have there to go to citystar mall they charged me 300 pounds one way and another ocassion I asked for them to see what a taxi would charge me to go to same mall and they say the charge was also 300 pounds, I decided to get my own taxi with the little arabic I know I walked to the entrance of the hotel gate and got my own taxi I paid 60 pounds for a one way ride I was overcharge 240 pounds with the help of the hotel I did point that out to the managers at the hotel. I will travel again to egypt but I know what to do, it only takes one time for me to learn. I think if the staff would help the tourist that would be greatly appreciated and would in return be referred for going the extra mile on their service. As far as my opinion for overall rating they need improvement on their guest service.

I really enjoy my stay at Sheraton dream very nice hospitality, And I would like to make special thanks to front office and bill captain shift night because I had an emergency, I need a medicine at 2 am morning and they help me to get it. Thanks again to all Sheraton team.

The hotel was nice, but it is new (as of 26 Feb 2010) and lost power several times. The staff was nice, the wait staff in the restaurant was slow and greedy. The food was average at best. Please note that the hotel is 15-20 minutes outside of Cairo… If there is ZERO traffic! Otherwise it will take you between 1 to 2 hours to make it downtown. Even the pyramids are more than 30 minutes away for a 8km (5 mile) drive. The Egyptian people are friendly but will try to squeeze everything they can out of you. The hotel is good if you don't want to be in the city center, but otherwise it is inconvenient.

Hotel es far from the city but it was worth it, there's a theme park behind it but it doesn't make alot of noise and it's great for children. The food was excellent the staff very friendly and helpful I was able to book a PRIVATE tour thru the hotel which i loved since i was only spending a day in cairo and wanted to see as much of the city as possible and the tour guide made it happen he warned what to expect at locations.
