Tropical Princess Beach - All Inclusive

I spent 8 nights at Tropical Princess Beach Hotel (together with my wife). It was incredible. Few points: 1. Weather was fantastic (but this is depending on the period you are going). We went in the middle of september, so rain season. But I heard June/July are the best. (even so, we had like 86-89 degrees, so...just perfect). 2. The room: nice room, clean. I must say i was a little bit skeptical about the bathroom. It did not had a warm feeling. But we got used to that. So...room: clean, AC, light (we stood at Lirio building). 3. Staff: Excellent. I have nothing but good word of them. We left the usual tip (1-2 $ - even it was not necessary- but even so, in the cases with "no tip", staff was excellent). 4. Pool: Excellent. Water had the perfect temperature, it was clean (every morning somebody is cleaning it). 5. Pool Bar: Just go there, ask for a drink, it will be delivered to you immediately. 6. Beach: Extra fine sand, warm water, enought place to sit (sun or shadow). I warmly recommend this Resort

Decent resort if you get a great deal on price. Rooms are very outdated and need some renovating. The property itself is beautiful and we found the employees to be very friendly. Beautiful beach! One problem that seems to be a recurring theme is that when we book through orbitz we always get a room with 2 double beds-never a king. Thankfully, the resort changed our room the next morning at our request. Overall-food was good, staff was friendly, beach and pools were great. I would suggest upgrading to the VIP package if possible

Convenient,close to the beach, good food, very nice staff. The price was very good, we always find the best deals at Orbitz! The restaurants don't have a/c, there were other minor issues but we had a good time , very nice pools, the staff is great! I would rate it 3.5 stars instead of 4 .

Cet hotel est bien plus beau qu'en photos. Ses 3 magnifiques piscines sont très différentes au niveau de l'ambiance, une dispose d'un bar dans la piscine et est donc très animée, la seconde est surtout fréquentée par des français puisque l'équipe Jet Tours y tient ses permanences, quant à la troisème, elle est beaucoup plus calme et dispose d'un petit ilot en son centre bien à l'ombre des cocotiers. La plage est constituée d'une belle cocoteraie et de sable blanc. La mer est turquoise, quoique assez agitée. Nous avons eu le bonheur de nager avec des lamentins à trois reprises. Les chambres framliliales supérieures sont très jolies, elles disposent de deux salles de bain, les lits sont confortables et absolument aucune remarque à formuler au sujet du ménage, tout était parfaitement propre. Le personnel de l'hotel est exceptionnellement gentil et serviable, et si vous faites l'effort de parler deux trois mots en espagnol, vous serez chouchouté. Le lobby est idééal pour boire des coktails en fin de journée car le cadre est magnifique. Vous pouvez également sortir de l'hotel sans aucunes craintes et aller faire les boutiques de Bavaro toutes proches. SQuant aux excursions, Saona et Catalina restent incontournables et n'hésitez pas à vous adresser aux Haïtiens au bord de la piscine (particulièrement Simon), ils sont adorables. Ce séjour était notre second en République Dominicaine, et ce pays reste un des plus formidable et dépaysant que je connaisse, tant par sa population si souriante et joyeuse, que par cette musique entêtante et ses paysages merveilleux.

The room initially asigned was full of mold. Second room was better but all our friends rooms had some moldy smell whenever you enter the room. Most of the staff were not attentive and lacking basic skills (restaurants, bars, reception)for hospitality industry. Room towels not very clean, Very difficult to get and change the beach towels. We had better experiences, including in Punta Cana. The beautiful beach compensated for everything else.

The resort has a pretty appearance, the grounds were well kept and most workers were friendly. the lobby area was too far from the rooms and the shuttles/vans were didn't run regularly enough, especially on check out days! The different colored wrist bands were confusing since they meant something to the staff but not the guests - certain types of alcohol we were told we couldn't get (top shelf/name brand) because our bands signified so. The telephone in our family style room was broken the entire stay and they only gave us 2 washcloths the whole trip for 3 people... it was difficult at best for clean towels, and if you speak NO spanish - this is definitely NOT the place for you. you needed at least high school level to survive!

to many people in the hotel, low customer service

Bring bug spray, at night they get you, buy your excursions from the guys at the beach, they give better deals than the hotel. ATV tour was alot of fun, bring a bandana to cover your face. Bring plenty of singles, they appreciate the tips and remember who tiped them. At night not much to do, only casino and shows that are not in English.

I stay on the beach the whole time and ate good food. more included activities This was my first trip and first time out of the country. I love it!!! I can't wait to go back....

Most of the staff does not speak english. My time there was not enjoyable because there is not much to do, the bed was very uncomfortable, and the food was lousy.
