Majestic Elegance Punta Cana - All Inclusive

It was top shelf all the way... We had a great time People complain about the little things but I have to say the only thing I can think of is the Musty smell in certain areas. The staff was great and very helpful The Hotel was absolutely beautiful The beach was the Best The Food was Good in all the restaurants and we had the Best Time. Would definitely go back. The Casino was small if you like to gamble go to The Hard Rock We did an island tour which was Fun Learned all about the Island. Other than that you really don't have to leave the Hotel. Can't wait to go back.

My boyfriend and I went to the Majestic Elegance in May for 6 days and we had a great time. We opted to pay a little extra for the Elegance Club and it was definitely worth it. The use of free-wifi/computers in the Elegance lounges and constantly having a place to go to for water, snacks, coffee and A/C was great! Plus, there's a separate concierge for Elegance Club members and you get your own butler. The room wasn't in the best condition I've ever seen, but overall, satisfactory. There are rooms that face one of the pools, so if you can manage to get one of those, do it! Oh, and the Funjestic team was awesome! Enjoyed every show we saw at night and it was great that they spearheaded the activities during the day and got anyone and everyone (including us) involved! All in all, we had a great time and would definitely considering returning!

Overall we had a very good experience. The staff is extremely proactive and seemingly genuine in their excitement, and desire to make your visit a great one, especially the servers and those involved in the activities. The room was nice, a good size, and clean (for something on the beach in a tropical environment). There were touches lacking that prevent it from being a '5' star experience though. Things like some rooms having two full beds pushed together instead of a king bed. TVs with terrible quality in some rooms, house keeping that would forget to replace all the towels in the room, etc... The food was average as a whole. We're not big seafood fans, which limited us a little (still plenty of options). The Hibachi grill was excellent. The other restaurants were mediocre to above average. It is probably typical of an all-inclusive experience, but this was my first, so I was slightly disappointed, but I had high expectations, and the Hibachi kind of made up for it. In the end none of the flaws prevented us from having a great experience, but you noticed them, and they caused minor inconveniences or annoyances. In the end I think it is a 4 Star resort. Great beach, awesome pools, fun staff, enjoyable shows at night, a staff that will keep your drinks full, and a good array of food (you just need to find the right selection for you). However there are some small details that make you scratch your head thinking why couldn't they dot that "i" or cross that "t" to add just a little more to the experience.

The hotel was wonderful every girls dream of a honeymoon!!! If you reserve a room from this hotel I recommend to become a Majestic Elegance club member its worth it, they assign you a butler from the begining we had "Rafael" he's the best, anything you need he will help you with, he prepares your jaquzzi when you ask him to. The honeymoon package they offer you a one time romantic dinner on the beach and a one time breakfast in bed, it was worth so worth it!!! The Elegance club has special features such as all access to lobby's that have food, drinks, concierge, internet, tv, books, magazines, etc. Our room was very nice and homey but we experienced alot of things that needed to be fixed, we reported them and they reacted fast to fix them. The food and beverage was good but it wasn't to different from other all inclusive hotels, you had access to several restaurants that didn't need to reserve which was very nice. We had our private pool with other members and it had a private bar. The beach was a short walk very comfortable to access to and clean. They had a restaurant you had access to eat till very late in the morning. Sports bar was poor not much service, the gym was ok not up to date. In overall the hotel is very romantic with its layout I would say that its great because of its customer service the staff goes beyond the expected. I would recommend this hotel!!!

My wife and I had a really great time here . We've been to many places on many vacations and this was by far the best value . Besides a minor problem with water leaking from the shower other than that the room was great . Lots of marble very comfortable bed and good climate control system . All of the restaurants great . Lot's of things to do at night. The only bad thing that I can say is there where a few people at the front desk that where very rude when we were trying to rectify the problem we had with the shower , however , all other staff were great . Would definitely recommend

Amazing room with ocean and pool view! Staff was very friendly and no problems communicating. The food was amazing-Duck, lobster, lamb, filet and much more. Property was maintained very well. We plan to go back to Punta Cana and stay here again. Advice/Tips: Get the Elegance club package-a little more money but well worth it. A spa visit is highly recommended. Circus show was very cool to watch.

We've been to a few resorts and this is the best we've been to. My wife and I were there for a friends wedding along with eight other couples and no one had a bad thing to say about anything. The rooms were large and comfortable, the VIP Club package made you feel like a VIP. The food deserves more space than I have here. The buffet had so many choices that you had to go around a few times just to see everything that was available. All the dishes had their own perticular flavors, unlike so many other resorts that we've been to. My only regret is that we didn't get a chance to try the French a la carte restaurant. The only sugestion I would make to the resort would be to have other choices for beer. As it is, they only serve Presidente draft which isn't bad but personaly I like a variety. All in all a great vacation, I would surely return!

A group of 4 friends went on vacation together and booked at this resort on recommendation from a friend that stayed one year ago and had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, our stay fell very short of our expectations. First off...the check in process was a joke. We booked in the Elegance Club and neither of our rooms were available. One room had to be downgraded, but they did offer a resort credit on that room which we used on spa services. The second room they claimed they did not have any rooms with 2 beds and took us to a room with a king bed and offered to move another king bed in there. when asked where they would put it, they said in front of the bathroom. no thanks. they miraculously found a room with 2 beds across the resort from our friends and we had a better view and view of the ocean from that room. the check in process took well over 2 hours which is completely unacceptable. we lost half the afternoon wandering around trying to find a suitable room. when we arrived to the room we found that the room was not clean to standards we are used to. no washcloths. scarce towels and in both rooms we visited the chairs in the sitting area were all stained and torn up. ewww. also, sharing a room with a friend is interesting as there is no dressing area. you basically can see eachother come in and out of the toilet area as well as in and out of the shower, as it is just located right in the room, no wall for a bathroom or anything. also, we asked for an ashtray every single day and never go one. our fridge was stocked at first, but barely got re-filled. also, we were told in the club area we would have all kinds of things like a pillow menu, aromatherapy, etc. a special gift upon arrival, etc, but that was all untrue. we complained and got about half of what we complained about. btw, the sheets are not changed daily. also on our last day my roommate went to get into her bed and there were chip crumbs in there...when nobody had food in bed the whole week. yuck. the elegance club was a joke. we didnt' see any benefit of paying extra for that. while it was nice to have some cleaner bathrooms in the lounges and beverages in the "cooler" (nothing ever was cold there) the concierge were usually rude or too busy to help. also, they didn't speak great english, or at least pretended not to. our butler was nowhere to be found after our second day. what a waste. overall i felt that the resort was in bad shape for only being open 4 years. the windows were filthy and the bathrooms in the lobby and public areas, pool, etc. were very dirty. half the stall locks were broken and wastepaper baskets full. the food was just ok. i am not a fan of buffets but we were able to get into all of the restaurants, although several other guests said they had problems getting reservations. was a problem finding non-broken loungers a t the pool and beach fyi. entertainment staff were fun, but half the events seemed to be cancelled or not going on. the resort was packed when we were there so no reason to cancel anything?it is disappointing to spend so much money and have certain expectations that are not met. don't get me wrong, the trip was wonderful, weather was beautiful, the bartenders and tipped staff (servers) were very helpful and friendly and the flowers and landscaping were gorgeous at this resort. the beach was also beautiful. again, the trip wasn't a disaster by any means, but we definitely would have liked a cleaner resort and better service for the price we paid. Btw, i am not a snob or generally a complainer but certain standards really were not met for a 5 star resort. Tips: see the Michael Jackson show...it's pretty cool. Japanese Steakhouse is very fun as well. food at the steakhouse and Japanese steakhouse were the best. Food at the late night place is kinda nasty. Would not recommend elegance club...not worth it. Get a massage at the spa, Carolina was great!

We recently went to Majestic Elegance for our honeymoon. The resort was absolutely magnificent! The flowers and grounds were immaculate. Everything was very well kept, and the staff paid great attention to detail. It was as if each staff member truly wanted to make you feel welcome and enjoy yourself everyday. They arranged breakfast in bed one day, a private dinner on the beach, and set up our jaccuzzi with rose petals, bubbles, candles, and champagne, all since we were honeymooners! There were lots of included activities, and multiple gorgeous pools. The food was delicious and we loved that there were so many choices. There aren't many places I would visit more than once (just because I would rather explore other parts of the world), but I would definitely return to the Majestic Elegance! We have been telling everyone to go!

We stayed at the Majestic Elegance October of 2011 for our honeymoon, and we could not have had a more wonderful time! We decided to upgrade to the Elegance club, which I highly recommend, especially for such a small increase in price to do so. That ensures you a room with access to a lounge that had marble floors, unlimited soft drinks, water, beer, and wine/champagne at your disposal, your own pool area with Bali style beds and waiters/waitresses bringing you whatever you may want. The food was also excellent, many different places to choose from, and we loved the decor of the resort, and everything was safe, clean, and inviting. We are planning on going back for our one year anniversary!
