Iberostar Costa Dorada All Inclusive

That was our 3rd time in this resort - we just love it. Nothing is better for a family.

The front desk people were very accomandating. We changed rooms to get a king size bed. The hair dryer didn't work so they gave us another one for our stay. The food was ok for a buffet. We had no problems getting reservations for the other rest. The food was very good in all 3. The room was very clean with no problems (except the hair dryer). The beds are very confortable. The only problem with the staff was at the bar in the lobby. Somedays they didn't have enough people working and when there were a lot of them working they just stood around and did nothing. We took a taxti into town, make sure before you go that he tells you how much the taxti is before you leave, because the price on there board and the price the drive charged us was not the same. The pool was very big but if you have children there is not a lot of the pool they can use since most of it is little over 4 feet deep. We were a little disappainted in the beach. They don't have the white sand and crystal blue water that you see in Punta Cana. Take bug spray. We will not be going back. Punta Cana has them beat hands down.

The most amazing thing at the resort to me was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff and personnel. They made you feel like royalty. The room was kept clean and the food was very good.

When my boyfriend and I arrived at the hotel we were greeted with frozen drinks and smiling faces. Check in went very smooth. We were offered a ocean front view for an $80 (total) upgrade. It was money well spent! The room was very clean. The bed was rather firm for my liking. The cleaning staff came in everyday and the room was always very clean. There is a lot to do. You can relax on the gorgeous beach or at the pool. There are guards on the beach because there are locals that will try to sell you stuff. Which is rather annoying. They had non-moterized sports such as kayaks for free. Once you get out in the ocean you can see the beautiful mountians in the backround. There was a theater show every night at 9:30pm mostly geared towards kids but adults can have fun with it too! There are a varity of excursions to choose from as well if you want to get away for a day. These are extra but there is a trip for everyone. The food was so so, I have had better. There are 3 resturants you have to make reservations for. I would suggest getting on that ASAP when you arrive because they fill up fast. There is also a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All in all I would say the vacation was great. I would come back. I will definitly book with Iberostar again at there other locations around the world.

This was a beautiful resort, all inclusive, for a very reasonable rate. From the open lobby, to the beautiful pool, right down to the beach... everything was clean and well maintained. The food was decent, and although I didn't have an opportunity to enjoy any of the evening shows, every night they did have some form entertainment. Not to mention live music beforehand. Believe it or not one of the things besides cleanliness that stands out is the fact that there were hundreds of lounge chairs all along the pool area right through to the beach. You didn't have to run down at 6am to reserve a chair with your towel. There was plenty to go around. My only complaint was that the air conditioning in the room wasn't always comfortable enough. Thank goodness they also had a ceiling fan... Great place otherwise!

Me and my girlfriend stayed in this resort for 6 days. We upgraded our room to be ocean-view which was worth it. Overall very friendly staff, good and abundant food, and nice pool and amenities. We did not care much about the evening entertainments. We also were looking forward to have some watersports activities like jetski or fast boats, etc, but there was not any around. Overall it was a very relaxing and fun trip, and was up to what we had hoped for.

We really enjoyed being at this hotel. This is one of the best one in Puerto Plata. The staff was friendly and attentive, check in and the check out process were quick and easy. The majority of the staff were very professional and the shows and entertainment was very good. The decor and landscape is beautiful. The only thing that they could improve is the beach. It was full of seaweed maybe a little maintenance would make it better and the other complaint is that the hotel doesn't offer free Wi-FI. With technology the way it is and the majority of the hotels and restaurants offering free WI-FI I think that the hotel should consider offering it to their customers.

Plenty to do to keep busy. Good food available almost 24 hours. Night time entertainment at the hotel was interesting.
