Hindsgavl Slot has 117 rooms in five categories. The main part have been renovated in castle style whereas the other rooms have been renovated recently and are located in the old Kostald - cow shed - and Svinestald - piggery - where there is an almost poetic nunnery atmosphere. Parties- conferences- weekend stays- castle weekends- luxury castle weekends and mini holidays. It is hard not to be overwhelmed when walking in and around the castle Hindsgavl Slot situated at the Little Belt coast of Funen. Already when driving down the castle avenue you get the sense of entering another world and another time. Even Hans Christian Andersen found that the view was the most beautiful in Funen - and he did not exaggerate. the garden and the park are outstanding with the pavillons- the streams- the ponds and the Little Belt in the background and the nearest neighbour is the deer park Hindsgavl Dyrehave with red deer and fallow deer. Hindsgavl Slot has been renovated over the years and recently it has been furnished with a new a la carte restaurant- a bar and a reception. At the same time the old cow shed and piggery were renovated and now house 5 new premises and 23 rooms. The restaurant is called - Den Hvide Dame - and is named after the friendly ghost of the castle. The culinary experiences of the hotel are worth while a long drive- and every month the 17 chefs and the confectioner of the castle create a castle menu based on fresh ingredients in season. When it is possible the castles own vegetable and herb garden provide the chefs with fresh fruits- vegetables and herbs. Today Hindsgavl Slot is a magnificent combination of a classic castle- a modern hotel with fine conference facilities and elegant rooms as well as an exciting and varied Danish castle cuisine. It is possible to hold parties in the historic drawing rooms- in the beautifully renovated stable- in the barn or outdoors in a tent in the castle park.
