Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive

My wife and I have been searching the carribean for the ultimate vacation spot. We found it in Aruba! Now I am getting ready to plan our next trip with our children so they can finally experience some of the amazing sites and sounds that we could only describe up till this point. There is no safer place to visit than Aruba and will be the first choice for my family. See you soon Aruba!

Spent one night there and had flying ants everywhere and the shower has no door and water pours out everywhere - almost slipped. Swichted the next morning to the Divi next door - so much better! And those rooms are still right on the beach, only $10 pp/per night to upgrade - I suggest staying there instead, the rooms are so much larger and cleaner. I'm having my wedding at the Divi now instead of the Tam as originally intended and telling my guests to book at the Divi. Other than that, the beach is amazing and staff friendly.

Hotel was good. Beach front room is worth it. Rooms needs an update.

Highly recommend for a family with 2 kids under 10, as they stay and eat free and they don't yet need a lot to be entertained. Weather is similar to Cayman - warm, but mostly cloudy or overcast, windy, but comfortable. Not a rain drop the week we were there in late March and the resort was not crowded at all, not even on weekends (NOT at all like Puerto Rico or Virgin Islands get around spring break). We have not left the resort the entire time and we didn't feel like we wanted to! We liked the Divi side MUCH better and moved there half-way through our stay. The resort was very accommodating. Make sure you request a Divi room in the 7100-block - they are the newest addition of beautifully done 3-story stucco buildings with larger rooms and modern amenities. We spent most days at one of the 7 or so gorgeous pools, as it was too windy to send much time on the beach for our kids who are 4 and 5 (flying sand literally beating on your body). However, ocean water is warm and when the wind dies down it is very pleasant plus the beach is long and very wide and the sand is of a superb quality. There were Dutch families with extremely well-behaved small kids, some Spaniards with families, as well as well-off retiree couples from the Northeast. There were almost no newlyweds/young couples and we only say one group of girlfriends on a girls' trip. We ended up taking advantage of the all-inclusive drinks all day long, which were very tasty. They may not have been that strong, but the staff were always willing to add more if we asked them. Bottom line: it was a wonderful do-nothing family vacation - very restorative and it was great to get away from our busy non-stop work schedules and do nothing for a change.

I'll start by saying we had a great time! The beach at the Tamarijn is beautiful and the hotel is a good value. Would definitely consider another stay. Our room was recently renovated so the decor was pretty nice, but there was a problem with the shower leaking through the wall into the bedroom area. It was minor, but… All-in-all, the Tamarijn was a really fun place to stay, with lots of activity. The staff is very friendly and responsive. DO tip the staff, especially the bartenders if you want to actually taste Rum in your Pina Colada. Really, make sure you ask them for extra Rum, otherwise there’s virtually none in your drinks. If you are planning a trip to Aruba and considering the Tamarijn, here are my recommendations for you: DON’T stay in the 2500 block. It is the very last building in the resort closest to the downtown side and there is a lot of street noise. If we were to go again, we would ask to stay in the 2300 block. It is still far enough away from the center of activity to be quiet but is in a much better location to avoid the street noise. DON’T waste your time having dinner at the Papparazi Restaurant at the hotel. The food was terrible. Ginger and the Palm Grille were much better, and the best dining experience we had as part of our package was The Red Parrot over at The Divi. It was fantastic! We ate there on our last night. Had we known, we would have made reservations there several nights! Keep in mind you need to make dinner reservations for any of the all-inclusive restaurants 2 days in advance, so make your reservations as soon as you arrive. The buffets were always plentiful, and both breakfast and lunch options were very good, but the dinner buffets weren't the greatest. You are much better off booking one of the restaurants, or venturing into town.One thing we found disappointing was the lack of beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach. They collect up all the chairs from the beach each night and lock them up, and you need to be there at 7am(!) to get chairs, or they will be all gone. Be smart, go at 7am on the first day and grab your beach chairs and then keep them on your patio overnight so you don’t have to deal with it every day. All in all, we did have a great time and would give the Tamarijn 3.5 stars.

Everyone was very friendly. Very helpful with booking day excursions - taking buses, etc. Some of the rooms are being upgraded so they're always improving. Lots of young children but lots of activities for them.

Being our first time to Aruba I was definitely not overly impressed. We stayed at the Tamarjin resort, which definitely needs some updating. The beach here was absolutely gorgeous. We walked out the slider and we were on the beach. However if you don't wake up early enough you can forget about getting a chair because there are certainly not enough to go around. The bathrooms have been renovated, while they look nice, the shower has no door and the whole bathroom gets soaked when you take a shower. The cleaning staff and bartenders were very good, I can't believe the people that don't tip these people. Though it is their job they go above and beyond and I believe a little extra goes a long way. The food was decent but not extravagant. The cards you have to buy for internet system seemed to be a scam, they definitely shave extra time off. Aruba in general was beautiful and I felt very safe traveling about the island. Maybe it was just the time of year but it did feel like I was in a nursing home. Maybe it is just the economical times showing but there was an extremely older crowd of people. Night life at the Tamarajin is lousy at best. They do have nightly shows which are very good, from circus/ acrobatics to saxaphone players. But after the shows the place clears out and everyone goes to bed. Would I go back to Aruba? Not until I'm 20 years or more older, I will fit in better then. Would I stay at the Tamarajin again? Maybe, it is lowrise right on the beach, you can't beat that, however there are other resorts with much much better ammentities. I may try one of them.........in 20 years.

it was alright, but it wasnt what i expected for the money spent. its a long flight and it was extremely crowded on the whole island. the temperature was the best part of the trip. I would suggest getting a pre tan before going to aruba. the sun is extremely hot and close.

Plastic toilet seats...terrible shower heads..bring your own. They just need to spend more money. It's all going to the Divi up the street. So stay at the Tamarijn, but spend you're time at the Divi...grounds are much better.

This was a perfect romantic getaway to a beautiful Caribbean beach! The hotel has decent food and many restaurants to choose from, many of which require reservations, which the hotel concierge will be happy to help you with, as well as answering any other questions you may have. The staff is terrific and very patient and friendly. Our room was just steps away from the sand and gorgeous blue Caribbean, just outside the sliding glass door. If you want a beach chair, there are plenty but you should claim yours before breakfast, as the best ones go quickly. Night life ends early at the Tanarijn and adjacent Divi (beautiful walk along the boardwalk between the two!), so you may want to venture "off-campus" in search of later activities, but you may have to do some homework as the island seems to turn in early for an early start. Maybe it's a seasonal thing? We were there end of January.
